Nawiatr650 has been designed to follow the rules of 650’s class in popular in Poland PPJK's regattas. 
The building method was compilation of “one-off” method with big parts made in Nawiatr 665's moulds. According to 650's class rules yacht had accommodation for 4 people with 1,25 m high in the cabin. Yacht was rigged with single swept spreader cabin steeped aluminum mast. The boom and retractable prod was made also from aluminum. Sandwich construction was based on 10 millimeters Airex and Herex PVC foam and epoxy resin. Vacuum bagging and sandwich combination gave very light and strong hull with final weight of 200kg. Low wetted area and big sails made Nawiatr 650 very fast, but easy maneuverable yacht.
Nawiatr 650 won several regattas in 2001 and 2002 beat even yachts from higher 730’s class. Here you can find some results. Presented design is prepared for "one-off" method and is recommended rather for advanced boat builders.
